How we work
Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment
Our entire business is other people's safety. This page is the program behind that claim: what we commit to, how we train and audit, and what an HSE department can verify before we ever set foot on your site.

GEAUX TIGER SAFETY: Our 6S Program
GEAUX TIGER SAFETY is the workplace organization program used across the Tiger family of companies, and it is how we run our own yards, shops and trucks.
It is built on 6S: five habits that keep a workplace in order, and a sixth that Tiger added because it matters most. The idea is simple. A yard where everything has a place is a yard where problems are easy to see.
Sort
Clear out what the job does not need. Tools, parts and materials that are not in regular use get tagged, then moved, stored or removed, so what is left is what the work calls for.
Set in Order
Give everything a home and label it. The items used most sit closest to hand, items used together are stored together, and anyone walking in can find what they need and put it back.
Shine
Clean daily, and look while you clean. Wiping down a unit is also when a worn hose or a loose fitting gets noticed, which is why cleaning and inspection happen together.
Standardize
Write the routine down. Checklists and schedules mean the first three steps get done the same way every day, by whoever is on shift.
Sustain
Keep at it. The program only works when it is a daily habit, so every employee knows their part and the work is checked from time to time.
Safety
The step Tiger added, and the one it ranks first. Find hazards and remove them before they can hurt someone.
What the program is for
GEAUX TIGER SAFETY is meant to pay off in five ways: lower costs, better quality, improved safety, increased production and higher employee satisfaction. A single cleanup day delivers none of them. They come from running the six steps daily, by whoever is on shift.

What that looks like in our yards and trucks
- Eye wash and shower stations in the shop, kept clear and ready
- First aid kits in our trucks and shops
- PPE worn, not just issued: hard hat, safety vest, steel-toe boots, gloves, eye protection and ear plugs for anyone working in or around our equipment
- Employees trained in First Aid and CPR, with AEDs on hand
- Forklift safety rules for operators and for everyone working around them
- Marked walkways and labeled tool storage
- Fire extinguishers mounted at every yard and kept in working order, with staff trained in fire safety
- Fuel and oil spills cleaned up right away
- Materials stored securely and restrained where they could shift, with combustibles kept apart so a fire cannot start or spread
- Truck drivers briefed and trained on our safety standards, and loads secured by people trained to do it
- Red tags on anything out of place until someone decides where it belongs
Our commitment
Tiger Safety Rentals works to the same QHSE program as the rest of the Tiger family of companies.
The program applies to everyone, and every employee is trained to take an active part in observing and upholding it.
The commitment is simple to state and hard to live up to, which is why we write it down:
Health and safety first.
Protecting people from harm and providing a healthy place to work comes before every other priority. No job is so urgent that it cannot be done safely.
Quality that holds under pressure.
Equipment maintained and tested to the applicable standards, work performed to the client's specification, and a goal of being the first company our customers call.
Environment.
Operating in a way that reduces or prevents adverse impact on the environment, for us and for the clients we work alongside.
Prequalified and compliant

The pillars of the program

Stop-work authority
Every Tiger employee has the authority to stop work, on the spot, when they believe what they see could harm a person or the environment. It needs no supervisor's sign-off and carries no penalty for being used. When our personnel are on your site, that authority travels with them.
See something, say something
Stopping work is the last resort. Speaking up early is the habit. Every employee is required to report anything that could lead to injury or an incident, in support of the program's goal of zero harm. Near misses get reported and investigated, not shrugged off, because a near miss with no follow-up is a repeat waiting to happen.
Training and workforce development
Training is matched to the role. The person who arrives on your site is trained for the job they were sent to do, and we will walk your HSE team through their qualifications before they start. Our personnel carry training such as OSHA, H2S safety, first aid and HAZMAT, with HUET for offshore assignments.
Auditing and inspection
Safety programs drift unless someone checks. Our yards are inspected on a schedule and the findings are written down and closed out. On client sites, our personnel document what they do, from atmospheric readings to permit logs, so the record holds up in your audits too. Quality is checked the same way: the Tiger family sets quality objectives and measures them through internal audits and management reviews.
Behavior-based safety in the field
Our field services are built around observation and correction, not paperwork after the fact. Turnaround advisors run behavioral safety observations and field audits as part of the daily routine. Attendants keep live readings in front of the crew. Coordinators verify isolations instead of taking them on trust. Watching how work is actually done, and saying something when it drifts, is the job.

Personnel screening and qualification
Operators screen contractors differently.
Tell us what your site requires and we will confirm what our personnel carry before they mobilize.

Equipment that arrives ready
Rental equipment is inspected and function tested before it leaves the yard.
Between jobs, units go through inspection, testing and preventive maintenance, which is the equipment side of the same QHSE program.
If your site needs specific documentation with a unit, ask when you request the quote and we will tell you what we can provide.
Common questions about our safety program
Why 6S and not 5S?
5S is the standard workplace organization method: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain. Tiger added Safety as a sixth step and ranks it first. Its job is to find hazards and remove them before they can hurt someone.
What happens to tools or materials that do not belong in the yard?
They get a red tag and stay tagged until someone decides where they belong. Anything not in regular use is moved, stored or removed, so what is left is what the work calls for.
Is 6S a one-time cleanup?
No. Standardize writes the routine down as checklists and schedules, so the first three steps get done the same way every day by whoever is on shift. Sustain makes it a daily habit, and the work is checked from time to time.
What training do your safety personnel carry?
It depends on the role. Our personnel carry training such as OSHA, H2S safety, first aid and HAZMAT, with HUET for offshore assignments. Before anyone starts on your site, we will walk your HSE team through their qualifications.
Can you send documentation for our approved vendor list?
Yes. Email moc.slatnerregit@selasytefas with what your process needs and we will send it. If a rental unit needs specific paperwork, mention it when you request the quote and we will tell you what we can provide.
Put the program on your site
The easiest way to evaluate a safety program is to hire the people who work under it. Tiger Safety Rentals staffs safety personnel across six specialisms, with 24/7 mobilization from our four dispatch yards in Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico, and we travel for project work beyond them. The equipment the job needs can go out on the same call.
