Industries we serve

Safety Equipment and Personnel for Power Generation

An outage compresses a year of maintenance into a few weeks, with more people inside more vessels than at any other point in the cycle. Our confined space, breathing air and gas monitoring fleet is built for exactly that, and turnaround safety advisors are one of our standing services.

What we bring

Everything an entry needs, staged as a package

Outage work is repetitive and volume driven. It suits equipment that ships as a set.

Vessel entry

Air into the space, and out of it

Portable electric blowers, 20 inch pneumatic jet fans that fit standard API tank flanges and deliver up to 10,400 CFM free air, venturi air horns that run off site compressed air, and flexible flame-resistant ducting.

Breathing air

Air that lasts the entry

Supplied air breathing apparatus for sustained work, SCBA in 30 and 60 minute configurations, escape units, cascade bottles, regulators and airline manifolds for a whole crew. Breathing air trailers run high pressure cascade filled to Grade D.

Monitoring

Continuous, not spot checks

Personal and area multi-gas monitors for O2, CO, LEL and H2S, with wired and wireless alarm networks covering the area and the perimeter.

Retrieval and rescue

Rigged before entry

Man-rated winches on tripods and davits, Sked rescue stretchers that hoist vertically through manways, rescue lifelines, and retrieval harnesses that keep the crew tied into a viable egress route.

Site support

Light, comms and welfare

Class I Division 1 and 2 rated LED lighting and tank lights, intrinsically safe two-way radios, emergency shower and eyewash trailers meeting ANSI Z358.1, and cool down trailers for heat stress.

Personnel

Advisors and attendants

Turnaround safety advisors from pre-outage planning through the post-job report, plus confined space attendants, fire watch and permit-to-work coordinators.

The problems we solve

What outage planners call us for

The failures that cost an outage time are rarely exotic.

Entry volume

Twenty entries a day and one set of gear

An outage runs more simultaneous permit spaces than the site owns equipment for, and a queue for a blower is a queue for the whole schedule.

Our answer

Entry packages staged in volume: blowers, monitors, tripods and winches configured per vessel, delivered as sets rather than as line items.

Heat

A vessel that is still hot and a crew that is not acclimatized

Heat stress takes people out of a turnaround faster than almost anything else, and the first symptom is usually a mistake.

Our answer

Cooling fans and cool down trailers on site, ventilation moving air through the space, and eyewash and shower trailers where the work calls for them.

Hot work

A permit system that cannot keep up

During an outage the permit volume multiplies, and the fire watch is the first role to get thinned out.

Our answer

Fire watch attendants and permit-to-work coordinators as dedicated roles, with the monitoring and suppression gear the permit requires.

Oversight

Nobody owning safety across contractors

An outage is many contractors working one asset, and the client’s own team is usually running the schedule, not the safety program.

Our answer

Turnaround safety advisors who own the plan end to end: pre-turnaround hazard assessments, daily briefings, field audits, real-time incident documentation and the post-job report.

Why Tiger

Turnarounds are the work we are shaped for

Project based, known scope, heavy on entries and air. That is the profile our fleet and our people fit.

Turnaround advisors are a standing service.

Not an improvisation. Pre-outage planning, on-site oversight, auditing and reporting.

Entry and air in depth.

Blowers, cascade air, SCBA, monitoring, retrieval and rescue all come from one yard, which matters when a site needs twenty sets rather than two.

We travel for project work.

Turnarounds and plant work are exactly the jobs that suit shipping a package from the Gulf Coast, because the scope and the dates are known in advance.

GEAUX TIGER SAFETY 6S.

Our own program, which is why the gear that reaches you is cleaner, safer and better organized than a yard average.

Safety & QHSE

The Tiger Safety & Reliability Difference

Our GEAUX TIGER SAFETY 6S Program

From the shop floor to your jobsite, our 6S process (Sort, Set-In-Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) ensures equipment is ready, organized, and safe. It reduces downtime, non-productive time (NPT), and HSE risk, and keeps your project on track.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

We do not just rent gear to companies. Tiger field crews help you maximize uptime and data quality on every job.

Fast, Transparent Communication

From quote to logistics to on-site handover, our team provides unfiltered, timely updates, so you always know where your equipment stands.

Frequently asked questions

Does Tiger support plant outages and turnarounds?

Yes. Turnaround safety advisors are one of our six personnel services, and the confined space, ventilation, breathing air and gas monitoring fleet is built for entry-heavy work.

Can Tiger supply enough entry equipment for a full outage?

Tell dispatch the number of simultaneous entries, the vessel sizes and the dates. Equipment packages are built per project, so the answer depends on the scope and the window rather than on a standard list.

Will Tiger travel to a plant outside the Gulf Coast?

Yes. Turnarounds and plant work are project based, which is the kind of job that travels well for us, because the scope and the duration are agreed before anything ships.

Do you provide breathing air as well as the detection?

Yes. Cascade systems, SCBA, supplied air and escape units come from the same fleet as the monitors and alarms, and breathing air trailers are available where a site needs a cascade on location.
